A BUSINESS in Taunton donated £2,500 to charity last week.

Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking donated the funds to the Cardiac Care Unit at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.

Director of the company, Paul Short, ran three half marathons in nine days in September/October 2021 in memory of his dad.

The run, called 'Run for Dunc', raised more than £1,000 and Lloyd & Whyte matched the funds raised.

“Lloyd & Whyte are delighted to be able to support Love Musgrove, and the CCU, so that they can continue to provide such important patient care and treatment,” said Mr Short.

The business has an initiative called 'Movement for Good', which allows staff members to contribute to good causes and charities close to their hearts.

Lloyd & Whyte formed in 1946 and provide advice to commercial and farming businesses in Taunton, Bridgwater, the South West and South Wales.

The company currently has a team of 18 people, and in 2021, they acquired Jo Pavey Insurance Services and BH&S Insurance Services.
