A WOMAN has launched an online fundraising page to cure her 11-year-old dog’s first-stage cancer.
Chantelle Tremeer, 24, from Taunton, had her dog Archie since she was 13 and is now looking to raise 2000 to cure his cancer.
She also said how Archie helped her overcome her anxiety. He is a “conversation starter” and helped her open up at a time she felt “extremely closed-up”.

Chantelle also said: “Since we found the lump, we got told it was cancer and we hoped for the best, it was heart-breaking. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions.
“I have been amazed by the fundraiser and being able to have this option is absolutely amazing.
“I had Archie since I was 13, When I was younger I was extremely closed-up but when you have a puppy people want to ask you questions and I was more than happy to speak about him and I came out of my shell.
“We can take him for a CT scan, which now we can just afford, to check if there’s more.”
Chantelle also said Archie started to become very poor with other symptoms that didn’t consist with cancer.
After extensive tests he was diagnosed with IBD/IBS, Chronic Pancreatitis, B12 Deficiency and is still ongoing testing for other illnesses.
Archie had to go back to the vets on Tuesday night, he stayed in until Friday, and then he had to be rushed back in.
Chantelle said “he is on some high painkillers” but “if he does well, he will be able to come back”.
Her partner Shenice, 23, said: “It started a couple of months ago. He was very lethargic, he was feeling sick, and stopped eating at all.
“The lump on his front shoulder turned out to be a stage one cancer and luckily they get all of that but there are other problems going on at the same time.
“They are looking to get a CT scan which is around 1000 and they also want to see a specialist in Bristol.
“It’s just really, really sad. He has been with my partner since she was 13. He helped her with her anxiety, he is a conversation starter.
“He is such a soft dog who always wants to give you cuddles.”
