TAUNTON Independent Market has been rescheduled “due to bad weather”.
The market was originally going to take place tomorrow, Sunday March 13 but after the latest weather forecast, it will now take place on Sunday, March 20 at Castle Green.
Michelle Beck, of Taunton and Bridgwater Independent Markets, said: “Due to the bad weather forecast for Sunday, we have made the decision to reschedule this Sunday's Market to next Sunday, March 20.
“The safety of our traders and visitors is of the highest importance to us and we are not able to trade safely in high winds.
“Obviously this is disappointing for us all, as this weekend was going to be our first Market of 2022, but almost all of our traders have already re-booked for next weekend, which of course is great news.
“We really look forward to seeing you all next week and will keep everything crossed for some better weather.”
The market will also be held on April 10, May 8, June 12, July 10, August 14, September 11, October 9, and November 13, with December’s date to be confirmed.
The new Bridgwater Independent Market will be launched on Sunday, March 27.
