FOUR drivers from Taunton and the surrounding area have been sentenced by magistrates in Bath for offences they committed on the county's roads.
One driver has picked up a fine and penalty points for failing to comply with a red light in Taunton, and one drove "otherwise than in accordance with a licence authorising" him "to drive a motor vehicle of that class".
Two people failed to give information relating to the identity of drivers who were alleged to have been guilty of an offence when required to by the police.
Luci Kingswell
A woman has been fined for failing to comply with a red light on Greenway Road (part of the the A358) in Taunton.
On Monday, Luci Kingswell, of Staplegrove Road, pleaded guilty under the single justice procedure to the offence she committed on May 2, 2021.
Kingswell, 44, was fined £61 by magistrates in Bath and ordered to pay £90 in court costs and a £34 surcharge to fund victim services.
She has until April 25 to pay her £185 court bill.
Kingswell was also handed three penalty points.
Her guilty plea was taken into account when her sentence was imposed.
Failing to follow traffic signals could result in a fine of up to £1,000 and six penalty points.
John Jurgensen
John Jurgensen, of Churchill Way, Taunton, was fined by magistrates in Bath after he drove a Toyota "otherwise than in accordance with a licence authorising you to drive a motor vehicle of that class".
Jurgensen, 50, committed the offence on July 5 on Alexandra Road in Wellington.
He was proved guilty under the single justice procedure on Monday.
Jurgensen received a £220 fine and must pay costs of £90 and a £34 surcharge.
He has until April 25 to pay his balance of £344.
His driving record was endorsed with three penalty points.
Ebuka Nwafor
Ebuka Nwafor, of South Street, Taunton, has been fined £660 for failing to give information relating to the identity of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
Nwafor, 33, committed the offence on May 11 and was proved guilty under the single justice procedure on Monday.
She was fined £660 by Bath Magistrates' Court and must pay £90 in costs and a £66 surcharge, giving her a total bill of £816 to pay by April 25.
She was also handed six penalty points.

Richard Muroi
A man proved guilty of failing to give information relating to the identity of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence has been fined.
Richard Muroi, of Gipsy Lane, Bishop's Hull, committed the offence on April 4.
He was proved guilty under the single justice procedure on January 20, and he was sentenced by magistrates in Bath on Wednesday.
Muroi, 45, was fined £660 and must pay £90 in costs and a £66 surcharge.
He has until April 27 to pay his £816 court bill.
He also had six penalty points added to his licence.
