PUXTON Park has donated a 3-month supply of medicine and pharmaceutical kits for 10,000 families facing the devastating humanitarian crisis that is unfolding in Ukraine.
As the Russian invasion progresses, more and more vulnerable children and their families are finding themselves forced into basements and bomb shelters to escape explosions.
Many families forced to flee will require help with their shelter, food, and clean water and pharmaceutical supplies.
The pharmaceutical and medical packs that Puxton Park, based in Weston-Super-Mare, has donated comply with specifications set by the World Food Programme, UNICEF and the World Health Organisation.
Alistair Mead, managing director of The Mead Group says: “While we are a family business located in North Somerset, our Adventure Park attracts visitors from all over the globe and many of our employees, friends and families have ties to Ukraine.
“We wanted to show our support through practical action that would help those most in need, which is why we chose to donate through the Ukrainian Emergency Appeal.
“The community partnership program works with Ukrainian Youth Association, Association of Ukrainian Women, Plast Ukrainian Scouts in Great Britain, and many other charitable organisations ensuring that support and aid are provided to those most in need.
“Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this appalling tragedy and we extend our heartfelt hopes for a swift end to the conflict.”
Puxton Park would like to call to action all of their business partners, suppliers, and neighbouring businesses to join them and please, where possible, donate to Ukraine.
Alistair Mead says: “Together, we can make a real difference to those in need. We have a responsibility to stand in solidarity with Ukraine and do everything we can to protect and support the innocent civilians whose lives are being torn apart by these acts of terror.”
