SOMERSET County Cricket Club will play their first pre-season friendly on English soil today as they play a two-day match against Glamorgan.
Play will begin at 11am on both days and for fans wanting to go and watch, it is free of charge for the two days.
Gates will open one hour before play begins and pay and display car parks at the Cooper Associates County Ground will be in operation.
Seating will be available in the Marcus Trescothick Pavilion and in the Ondaatje stands and refreshments will be available in Stragglers Coffee House.
The squad to take on Glamorgan is as follows:

- Lewis Goldsworthy,
- Ben Green,
- James Hildreth,
- Tom Lammonby,
- Ned Leonard,
- Ollie Sale and,
- Roelof van der Merwe.
Ahead of the game, Somerset head coach, Jason Kerr told Somerset CCC: “I don’t think that our two weeks away could have gone any better from a preparation point of view.
“These pre-season matches will give us the opportunity to continue our good momentum ahead of that important first game.
“As with all the other counties, the players are honing their skills and looking to build confidence.
"The key for us as a unit is to ensure that the players are in the best physical and mental state possible."
Somerset’s next match is a three-day pre-season fixture against Gloucestershire at the Cooper Associates County Ground.
Day one of this match is on Saturday March 26.
