The arrest follows a 'suspicious incideint' in South Road, Taunton
A MAN has been arrested following what police are calling "a suspicious incident" in Taunton last week.
A 16-year-old girl was approached by an unknown man at about 11.58pm on Friday (March 18).
He then attempted to drag her towards a car in South Road, according to police.
She managed to find a place of safety but did sustain cuts and bruises.
A 35-year-old man arrested on suspicion of kidnap remains in police custody.
Police are continuing to ask any witnesses to call them on 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5222065481.
