A CREECH St Michael motorist has been banned from driving for six months for speeding.
Valdemaras Rapalis, 37, of Meredith Close, was clocked doing more than 50mph on the A38 at Thurloxton on January 22 this year.
He was given six penalty points and a ban after pleading guilty to the offence at Taunton Magistrates' Court.
He was also fined £660 with a £66 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
SANNAN James Clapp, 32, of Moorland Road, Taunton admitted doing 60mph in a temporary 50mph zone on the M5 northbound between Junctions 24 (North Petherton) and 23 (Bridgwater).
He received three penalty points on his licence and was fined £176 with a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
A SHEPTON Mallet man caught behind the wheel without insurance in the street where he lives has been banned from driving for six months.
Jamie Dale Rothwell, 31, of Duchy Road, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on June 6 last year.
He was fined £500 with a £50 victim surcharge and £85 costs, with six penalty points, earning him the ban.
He was given no separate penalty and six points for a similar offence in Broad Cross, Shepton Mallet on April 17 last year.
