Their first professional production was Alan Ayckbourn’s The Norman Conquests, starring the then unknown actor David Jason.
David has wished Taunton Brewhouse all the best on their 45th birthday by writing a letter to the theatre sharing memories of his visit.
To celebrate the birthday, Taunton Brewhouse is hosting a 45th birthday exhibition which will open on April 19 in the gallery.
There will be an archive of programmes on display, alongside pictures of productions as well as costumes and props from shows.
A special wardrobe area will also be at the exhibition, where youngsters will be able to try on costumes and add to the memory wall.
A spokesperson for Taunton Brewhouse said: "From the start, we enjoyed support from the local community, who have been involved in everything from, fundraising, to volunteering front of house and behind the scenes, to sitting on the board as a trustee.
"We are always looking for more volunteers so if interested do get in touch.
"Come along to the exhibition – enjoy some fresh coffee from the bar and add your memory to the wall."
