The iconic Pyramid Stage has stood as a framework for three long years but it’s finally getting dressed for the party.
After the pandemic caused the Glastonbury Festival to be cancelled in 2020 and 2021, the covers going on the main stage has come as a welcome sight to festival fans.
Workers at Worthy Farm, in Pilton, started dressing the stage on Thursday (March 24), and on Friday were working on the second side of the pyramid.
The festival isn’t until June 22, running through to June 26, but with more than 200,000 revellers descending on the site, it’s little wonder preparations are already underway.
Headliners on the Pyramid Stage this year are Billie Eilish, Sir Paul McCartney and Kendrick Lamar, while the Sunday afternoon legend slot will be filled by Diana Ross.
The Glastonbury 2022 coach + ticket packages on sale this evening have now all been sold. Our thanks to everyone who bought one. Standard tickets are on sale at 9am BST on Sunday morning (and @nationalexpress will offer coach travel to standard ticket holders).
