TAUNTON-based claims handling services and workflow technologies provider Claims Consortium Group has acquired a specialist chartered loss-adjusting firm.

The deal to buy Oxfordshire-based Roger Rich & Co, which has a strong market reputation for delivering service excellence, was completed on Friday (March 25) for an undisclosed sum.

The specialist team will continue to operate from their base in Chipping Norton while benefitting from the technologies, processes, expertise, and experience of the wider Claims Consortium Group.

The acquisition represents the continued expansion and diversification of Claims Consortium Group’s service offering across accident, travel, health, and pet claims.

Jeremy Hyams, founder and chief executive of Claims Consortium Group, said: "We are pleased to welcome the team from Roger Rich & Co to Claims Consortium Group.

"With over 30 years of experience trading in these specialist markets, the team can provide a unique insight as we expand our current offering.

“This strategic acquisition supports our third-party-administrator proposition, which has seen noteworthy growth in the last two years.

"It also supports our relentless focus on providing customers with high quality service as measured through our industry-leading net promoter scores, Trustpilot reviews and outcome results.

“We are hugely passionate about being based in the county town of Somerset.

"Through this acquisition we are able to expand our range of industry-leading services and this growth will enable us to continue to invest in the region.”

On completing the deal, Roger Rich said he is delighted to see the company he started 38 years ago being safely handed over to Jeremy Hyams and his team.

The reassurance of ensuring the company’s long-term reputation and offering first-class employee benefits were critical to the handover.

Mr Rich is now looking forward to watching from the sidelines as Roger Rich & Co moves into a new digitally-driven and innovative era as part of Claims Consortium Group.

This latest addition to Claims Consortium Group follows the acquisitions of WeatherNet and the TPA Leisure offering in 2021, as well as the launch of the brand’s Synergy Cloud platform.

Established in 1996, Claims Consortium Group has grown from three to more than 270 employees.

Claims Consortium Group is one of the industry’s leading providers of sophisticated property claims handling and claims workflow technologies in the UK.
