AN Adele tribute act who has performed alongside the superstar singer-songwriter on TV will appear at the Brewhouse Theatre this weekend.
Fans of Adele can say 'Hello' to 2013 X Factor contestant Katie Markham and her six-piece band at their internationally acclaimed show 'Someone like You: The Adele Songbook' on Saturday.
Two years after appearing on the X Factor, she was contacted by the producers of Adele Live at the BBC to appear on the show as a part of a tribute feature.
She was selected by Adele as one of eight performers to be in the show and given the opportunity to perform alongside her idol.
The 'Someone Like You' concert production is now in its fifth year and recreates music from Adele's four albums 19, 21, 25, and 30.
Adele officially released her fourth album 30 in November 2021.
The album contains soulful songs including 'Easy on Me', 'I Drink Wine', 'Oh My God', and 'Can I Get It'.
Ahead of her visit to Taunton, Katie said: “I’m over the moon about Adele’s new album, it’s an incredible listen and I cannot wait to perform her new songs!
“There is a real beauty to Adele’s music.
“I think that’s why it appeals to so many people, she lays raw emotions out for all the world to see.
“People can relate to her happiness, pain, sorrow, heartache and healing process.”
Katie sings smash hits 'Someone Like You', 'Rolling in the Deep', 'Hello', 'Make You Feel My Love', 'Set Fire to the Rain', and James Bond theme 'Skyfall' alongside the new numbers.
'Someone like You: The Adele Songbook' has been enjoyed by audiences in several countries including the UK, Ireland, and Canada.
The show will also visit Lithuania, Estonia, and Finland this year.
Katie Markham and her band will perform 'Someone Like You: The Adele Songbook' live at the Brewhouse Theatre in Taunton from 7:30pm on Saturday, April 2.
Tickets for the performance are £24.50 and available on the theatre's website.
