The initiative follows a similar programme of family films shown at the same venue from last November in the run up to Christmas.
The only difference is this time you do not need to book a ticket.
People should turn up on the day and entrance - via the side door to the left of the main Debenhams hoarding - is on a first come first served basis.
Films will be shown every Saturday and Sunday over a six week period, with screenings at 11am and 2pm both days.
The boarded up front of the former store, which closed in May last year, was brightened up last month with artwork charting Taunton's history from the Anglo Saxon period to the 20th Century on the boards, which had become a tatty eyesore.
