TRAINS were halted this afternoon (April 2) while fire crews tackled a blaze alongside a railway embankment.
The incident happened around 3.30pm between Old Cleeve and Williton.
A fire crew from Minehead attended the blaze.
"Crews from Minehead attended a fire involving brash alongside a railway embankment in Williton," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
"Trains were stopped while crews worked on scene and extinguished the fire using beaters and scotty backpacks."
