A GLASTONBURY-BASED artist and photographer launched a new book and presented her latest exhibition at a "fantastic event" at The Heart of the Tribe last week.
Kim von Coels' exhibition featured photographic projects, screen prints, original pen and ink drawings, and stencil-based paintings.
The private viewing event, held on Friday, April 8, was "a well-attended and very sociable event".
It also showed a selection of her performance art in the form of stop motion short films.
Her book, The Colour of Light, is based on her creative photography and 'light painting', a photographic process that involves using handheld light sources to create images during a long exposure.
Ahead of her show, Kim said: “I am interested in exploring the possibilities of manipulating light, creating images that could never exist in real life, and using the camera as a tool to make and create pictures, rather than to just point and click.”
Her work often centres around empowering women and the female form.
She added: “For me, creating is about enjoyment.
“A big part of my creative process involves spending time with people I love, which is a huge and important part of my inspiration and motivation.”
After the show, Heart of The Tribe posted on Facebook: “Thank you to everyone who joined us for the PV of Kim von Coels’ new exhibition last night.
“It was a fantastic evening.”
Kim's exhibition will take place at The Heart of the Tribe gallery until May 8, and she will be offering light painting experiences during the last week of her exhibition.
