A TAUNTON pub will remain closed until the start of next month as it undergoes a major refurbishment.
The King's Arms, in Staplegrove Road, has been closed since the latter part of April.
It is understood the improvement scheme is costing hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Owners Stonegate have revealed on social media that it will reopen on Wednesday, June 1.
The post says: "Our doors are now closed and we have started to give your pub a new look!
"We're currently closed until 1st June but don't worry, we'll be back with a new look and menu then!"
Stonegate has not yet responded to the County Gazette's request for a comment.
