GLASTONBURY’S Platinum Jubilee Pageant celebrated Sovereignty with the theme of “Queens and Kings for the day”.
They started at 2pm yesterday, Friday, June 3, from the top of the High Street following a Proclamation by the Town Crier.
The pageant concluded in Glastonbury Abbey, where residents were encouraged to bring their own picnic and the celebrations continued from 3pm with Glastonbury Brass Band, the newly commissioned Glastonbury St. George Mummers Play, and Children’s entertainers from Children’s World.
Last admission to The Abbey was 5:15pm and closure was at 6pm.
