THE Porlock community came together for four days of entertainment and activities to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee at the weekend.
The coastal village kicked off its programme of events on Thursday at the Dovery Manor Museum with its own regal procession.
That was followed with the town crier's cry under the Jubilee floral arch at St Dubricius Church.
An afternoon of fun and entertainment came later at Porlock Recreation Ground featuring a Jubilee Olympics event, a Punch and Judy show, a performance from the West Somerset morris dancers, and an opportunity for people to make their own crown.
Cream teas were served throughout the afternoon, and every child in the village received a commemorative, locally hand-crafted gift.
Families also took part in a Jubilee logo trail around the village.
Thursday evening saw a performance by Friends in Harmony followed by the lighting of a Jubilee beacon.
The following three days saw a performance at Porlock Methodist Church from Geoffrey Perkins, live music at The Top Ship inn, and a rendition of Whispering Willows at Porlock Village Hall.
The hall also hosted a Jubilee lunch before the church held another concert by Friends in Harmony.
On Sunday, the community came together again to celebrate with street parties being held throughout the village.
A Porlock Visitor Centre spokesperson said: “This was an amazing four days where so many community groups and individuals worked tirelessly to arrange the full programme of events for residents and visitors to come together and enjoy this very special occasion.”
