GLASTONBURY Festival is now only 10 days away, with more than 200,000 people set to make the journey to Worthy Farm to watch some of the world's best-known acts.
The five-day festival will start on Wednesday, June 22, marking its return after two years away due to the Covid pandemic.
Singer-songwriter Billie Eilish will become the festival's youngest-ever headliner on Friday night following her stunning set on The Other Stage in 2019.
Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney will top the bill on Saturday for the second time in his career before rapper Kendrick Lamar brings the curtain down on Glastonbury 2022 on Sunday.
Other Pyramid Stage acts include Lorde, Sam Fender, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Haim, Elbow and AJ Tracey.
The Other Stage will host performances from Olivia Rodrigo, Foals, Years & Years, Megan Thee Stallion, Pet Shop Boys and late line-up addition The Libertines.
With hundreds of other performers scheduled to perform across dozens of stages, festivalgoers will be keeping a close eye on Pilton's weather forecasts over the next few days.
Current weather forecast for Glastonbury Festival 2022
Festivalgoers can expect warm conditions throughout the festival, although some rain is currently expected with the possibility of thunderstorms.
The Met Office's long-range weather forecast for Pilton across the period June 16 to June 25 says: “Temperatures will be average for most, but warmer in the south, with possible thundery conditions bringing potentially hot temperatures for southern regions.
“High pressure is likely to persist and move westwards through this period, bringing more unsettled and occasionally showery conditions across the UK associated with a northwesterly wind.”
The Met Office says it is “harder to offer local detail to as high a level of accuracy” with its long-range forecasts than its short-range forecasts.
