TWO men from Somerset have been fined for failing to disclose the identity of the driver of a vehicle when required to.
They both committed the offence in Crownhill, an area of Plymouth, Devon: One in December, and the other in January.
They were both proved guilty under the single justice procedure by magistrates in Bodmin, Cornwall.
Court documents for both men say they “failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence”.
Charles Crane
A man from Crewkerne has been handed a £816 court bill and six penalty points after failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a Mercedes Sprinter van when required to.
Crane, of Kingswood Road, committed the offence on December 29 at Crownhill in Plymouth.
Crane, 30, was proved guilty under the single justice procedure on Monday, June 6.
He was fined £660 and ordered to pay £90 in court costs and a £66 victim surcharge.
He has until Monday, July 4 to pay his balance.
Gary Sood
Gary Sood, of Hamilton Court, Taunton, failed to disclose the driver of a Ford Transit van when required to in Crownhill on January 17.
Sood, 67, was fined £660 and must pay £90 in costs and a £66 victim surcharge.
He has until July 5 to pay his £816 court bill.
He also had six penalty points added to his licence.
