A MOTORCYCLIST is believed to have sustained “minor injuries” following a collision with a car on the A358 Priorswood Road in Taunton.
Police officers and paramedics were called to the scene shortly after midday.
Priorswood Road was blocked heading northbound “for a short time”.
Drivers were also affected by delays at the roundabout next to Priory Fields Retail Park and the Obridge Viaduct.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “At about 12.20pm we received a call following a collision between a car and a motorbike.
“The motorcyclist sustained what is believed to be minor injuries.
“The road was blocked for a short time. Officers left the scene at about 1.05pm.”
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust said: “We were called at 12:11hrs to an incident in Taunton. We sent a double-crewed land ambulance.”
Just after 1pm, Travel Somerset (the county council's roads information service) reported that the northbound lane of the A358 Priorswood Road by The O'bridge Brewers Fayre pub had been cleared.
