PUPILS at a Somerset school had to opportunity to learn more about their career options at an event attended by several local employers.
Danesfield Church of England School, located in Williton, hosted the event for its year seven pupils (aged 11 and 12) on Tuesday, June 14.
The ‘careers speed dating’ event allowed pupils to spend time speaking to people who work across several different fields from hospitality and healthcare to the military.
A spokesperson for Danesfield School said: “Year seven had a great time finding all about different jobs at their careers speed dating morning.
“Guests included Butlins, the Army, NHS Physiotherapy, Bovis Homes, EDF Energy, Alun Griffiths Engineering, Hinkley Point, and Yeovil Hospital.
“Thanks to teacher Andy Pearce and the Careers Hub for organising this successful event.”
