JACK White rocked the Glastonbury Festival’s Park Stage audience on Sunday evening (June 26).
White’s set was announced this morning, the 6.15pm slot had previously been teased as ‘TBC’.
He may have not been instantly recognisable with his blue hair but the heavily blues-infused riffs and distortion coming from his guitars made him immediately sound familiar.
White played a loud, energetic set that included Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground, from his White Stripes days, Lazaretto, from his solo career, and right at the end, Seven Nation Army but in between, there also was room for a new song.
The crowd surely appreciated the special guest’s performance and festivalgoers were still chanting on the notes of the iconic Seven Nation Army riff while they walked away from the Park Stage at the end of the set.
He released his fourth studio album Fear of the Dawn in April, which will be followed by Entering Heaven Alive on July 22.
