A MAN who attacked a woman in Minehead has been given a community order and a restraining order.
Mark Williams, 35, of no fixed address, originally denied the offence, but changed his plea to guilty at an appearance at Taunton Magistrates' Courts.
Williams admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm between February 23 and 24 this year.
He was also ordered by magistrates to pay a £90 victim surcharge and £190 prosecution costs.
ALSO in court was Kalup Manny Smith, 21, of Street Foyer, Street, who admitted breaching a domestic violence protection order.
He was fined £50 for the offence in Street on June 22.
CHRISTOPHER John Bewes, 46, of Kingston Road, Taunton, was found guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
Bewes, who had pleaded not guilty, was fined £380 and ordered to pay a £38 victim surcharge and £500 costs, while he was also given six penalty points on his licence.
