SOMERSET can expect temperatures of 30degs C today and tomorrow (Monday and Tuesday, July 11 and 12) as the heatwave continues, according to the Met Office.
It is forecast to cool down slightly from Wednesday to Friday, but the mercury is expected to be on the rise again for the weekend.
Monday will be dry and fine with plenty of sunshine, although it may be hazy at times into the afternoon. Maximum temperatures are set to be 30degs C.
We're in for an uncomfortable night with temperatures remaining in double figures and not dipping below 13degs C.
We can expect exactly the same on Tuesday.
But the outlook for Wednesday to Friday is for more cloud around and the odd spot of rain, with it feeling cooler with temperatures of 21degs C or 22degs C - closer to average for this time of year.
Temperatures will likely increase slightly from Friday with sunny spells.
Then the weekend will be hotter again, with temperatures in the mid to late 20s.
