ON Friday as I left the Lighting Company shop on Fore Street, I fell, breaking my ankle.
The staff of that shop went far beyond the call of duty, providing a chair and a cup of tea, while I phoned my husband to come and take me to Musgrove. Many passers by stopped to help, reassure me and pick me up.
Sadly, the only place my husband could park was the bus stop and a few passengers were unnecessarily rude and abusive. If they need help in the future I hope they don’t have the misfortune to meet others like themselves.
I would like to express my thanks to all those who helped me and to the staff of Musgrove Park Hospital who cared for me and equipped me with a boot and a pair of crutches.
Thank you all,
Heather Wilson
