A 'REPEAT' speeding motorist faces a court bill of over £1,000 and a ban after being caught driving at 50 per cent more than the speed limit.
Lee Jackson Crocker, 53, was clocked at 75mph on the A39 Cannington by-pass, where there is a 50mph limit, on April 27 last year.
He was fined £440 by Taunton Magistrates' Court and ordered to pay a £44 victim surcharge, along with £90 court costs and £620 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
He was also banned from driving for six months for "repeat offending".
Crocker, of Furnace Way, Waun Wen, Swansea, was found guilty after denying the charge.
HOLLY Elizabeth Butterfield, 28, of Church Street, Highbridge, pleaded guilty to driving at 97mph on the M5 between junctions 25 (Taunton) and 24 (North Petherton).
She was fined £245, with a £34 victim surcharge and £90 costs and banned from driving for three months.
