A MASSIVE police search was mounted after a Wellington man was reported missing in the early hours of yesterday (Tuesday).
A number of units were called in, while officers with sniffer dogs looked for the man around the town and the force helicopter went up over the town.
The alarm was raised at about 2.55am when the man was reported missing from his home in Trinity Close.
A police spokesman said there were concerns for his welfare.
But police received a call at 6.45am that the man had returned to his home safe and well.
