A PARTIALLY retired woman from Somerset has won the biggest win ever on Pick My Postcode.
Lucky Shepton Mallet winner Diane pocketed a whopping £3,345 this week, following her win on the Stackpot draw.
The mum-of-three won the £5 Bonus draw which had rolled over to £10, plus her bonus of £3,335.
Pick My Postcode is a fun, free online lottery draw funded by ad revenue, so it is an alternative to gambling.
So far, it has given away a grand total of £1,539,923 to its lucky winning members.
This means the website will never ask members for any bank details or personal information.
Diane, who is in her late-60s, plans to spend her new found cash on some new windows for her home, which they have been saving for.
She said: “I would have loved to have donated my winnings to one or more local charities but unfortunately, in the current economic climate I would like to keep some money for myself and my grown-up family, three beautiful adult daughters.
“However, as things stand, a chunk will be put towards my necessary new windows, some will go to my daughters and I will support two local charities.
“If there is any left, I might consider turning the central heating above 15C for a week or two in the depths of the coming winter.”
The lucky winner moved to Shepton Mallet back in 2017 from South Cambridgeshire.
Since moving, she has continued to use her old postcode on the website, which proved to be the right decision considering her recent win.
Diane has been a member of Pick My Postcode since 2014 and won previously in 2018 on New Year’s Day.
Last time, she won just £2.50 on a shared prize, plus her bonus amount of £33.68. Her bonus is now 100 times larger than it was back in 2018.
The creator, Chris Holbrook, said: “As well as being a free ad-funded alternative to gambling, we pride ourselves on being a community.
“Diane is one of our most loved members and has been very actively participating in discussions and activities on our site.
“I’m delighted she has won the biggest prize so far as she’s exactly the kind of person we do this for.”
The website includes six different draws, plus an additional £5 flash draw. In total there are 17 opportunities to win money for free on their website every single day.
The bonus is an individual pot of cash, unique to each member. Users of the website can grow their bonus by completing offers, doing surveys, and referring friends.
When talking about the disbelievers, Diane exclaimed: “Carry on and stay hopeful. Oh, and more importantly, be kind.”
Somerset players have won nearly £17,000 entirely for free on the site since 2017.
