PORLOCK Weir will host an afternoon of music, activities, and live entertainment for all the family on Saturday, September 24.
The Sea Festival will feature live theatre from Clementines Theatre Company, sea shanties by The Barnacle Buoys, and archery and kayaking with Exmoor Adventures.
There will also be wood carvings by Mike Leach, a town cry, oyster shucking demonstrations by Porlock Bay Oyster Company, and boat trips with Porlock Weir Charters.
Children and families can take part in a sea-themed treasure hunt, and they will be able to watch boats taking part in the Porlock Weir Gig Club Regatta arrive at high tide.
The RNLI and HM Coastguard will both have stalls at the festival, plus there will be a talk by the Exmoor Natural History Society.
Food and refreshments available at all outlets in Porlock Weir.
Minibus transport will be provided between 2pm and 8pm from Central Car Park, Porlock (TA24 8PH), because parking is limited at Porlock Weir.
Some planned activities may be affected at short notice by poor weather or unfavourable sea conditions.
The event has been funded by Somerset County Council and the government's Community Renewal Fund.
