A HOLIDAY company with several Somerset locations has launched an Early Careers Academy to help young people into jobs at its sites.
Haven aims to support people in education across its communities by providing careers opportunities through its partner schools.
For this project, Haven has partnered with Youth Employment UK, a leading organisation working to change the employment landscape for young people.
Team members from Haven parks and its central support office will provide careers insight, experiences, and opportunities for people still in education.
This will help them learn about the world of work and the range of careers available to them in the hospitality and tourism industry.
Haven has launched an Employer Profile on the Youth Employment UK website to allow it to showcase its range of options and career pathways.

The company has pledged to create opportunities for young people across its entire business to allow people of all backgrounds to join and thrive in their careers.
Simon Palethorpe, Haven managing director, said: “Young people in our schools are the future and it is so important that we recognise and harness their talent and potential early to give them the very best start in their chosen career.
“We can offer such a wide range of opportunities at Haven, so we are really excited to be launching our Early Years Academy, supported by Youth Employment UK.”
Haven plans to unlock more opportunities for young people across the country with the development and growth of the initative.
Haven has 41 UK holiday parks, including in Burnham-on-Sea and Doniford Bay (Watchet). It also operates the Devon Cliffs Resort in Exmouth.
