The stage is all set at Taunton Racecourse for the start of the 2022-23 National Hunt season where they host their first meeting on Wednesday October 26.
After the enforced absence caused by Covid, crowds flocked back to watch their favourite winter past-time last season with the numbers at the Orchard Portman course showing a marked increase at virtually every meeting.
Over the closed season, work has been going on to redevelop the Weighing Room facilities, which are situated under the Portman Stand, while out on the course all of the hurdles have been painted white.
The action at Taunton gets underway when they host their half term meeting on Wednesday October 26, when the first of the races is due to post at 1.55pm.
Next up are the two meetings in November, on Thursday 10th, when the first race gets going at 1.15pm, and 24th starting at 12.48pm.
This season Taunton will be hosting three meetings during December.
The first of these is the Festive Meeting on Thursday December 8, when racing starts at 12.28pm, and the musicians and choir from King’s College will be on hand to get everyone into the seasonal mood.
Taunton will also be hosting a Pre-Christmas Meeting on Wednesday December 21, when racing starts at 12.50pm. This is a great opportunity to come along with colleagues from work or a group of friends and help to really get into the Christmas spirit.
The biggest meeting of the year at Taunton is on Friday December 30 when racing is due to start at 12.55pm.
The final meeting of the year has become a must-do event on everyone's festive calendar so make a date in your diary and book your tickets online early to take advantage of the discounts that are available.
Membership for the new season is now on sale and costs £240, while a season ticket category costing just £190 is being introduced this season.
Annual Membership includes exclusive access to the Paddock Stand and members' car park, while the season ticket is for ground entry only and includes free parking. Both categories include up to 50 reciprocal race meetings at other courses nationwide.
