A NEW restaurant opens in Taunton on Friday (October 14), promising diners 'fresh food, fresh ideas, every quarter'.

The Quarter Restaurant opens in a building on Lower Middle Street previously occupied by The Mango Tree.

It is being operated by the same team but as a brand new venture.

While renovations have been taking place over the last few weeks to bring a fresh new vibe and décor to the premises, the team has been busy creating a tasty menu of food and cocktails to match.

Head chef Erik Muzic said: "Each quarter we will be creating a new menu, with emphasis on exciting dishes using fresh, seasonal produce.

"Added to this, The Quarter Restaurant will have a dedicated lunchtime offering, plus an extensive plant-based menu, as we cook up a wealth of delicious dishes to suit all tastes.

"Whether you are looking for lunch on the go or to stop and soak up the atmosphere with a sit-down meal, there’ll always be something fresh to try at The Quarter Restaurant.

"Our menus may change every quarter, but you can be assured of a warm welcome and an inviting ambience whatever the season.”

With a nod to the heritage of the location in the heart of the Taunton Independent Quarter, the restaurant team promises diners upbeat décor and great customer service - all with the same care and attention they are putting into their evolving menu.

Erik added: “We will be your perfect venue whether you are looking for a table for two, or have a gathering with friends and family in mind.

"And for those looking to recreate The Quarter Restaurant at home, we will offer a takeaway service as well as an eat-at-home option via our delivery partners.

The Quarter Restaurant is situated at 18 Lower Middle Street, and following the launch on this Friday evening of Friday 14th October, will open Tuesdays to Fridays 11am to 3pm and 5.30pm to 9pm, and Saturdays from 11am until 9.30pm.
