HIGHBRIDGE & Burnham-on-Sea Carnival returned to the streets for the first time since 2019 on Monday, November 7.
Thousands of people turned out to watch the carnival procession, which began next to the Tesco supermarket and ended at the Holiday Village.
Gremlins Carnival Club won in several classes including Best Entry in Procession, Most Outstanding Costumes and Best Feature Entry.
The Bridgwater-based club wowed the crowds and judges with their ‘Feast of Fools’ cart, which also won four cups at Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival.
Hillview Carnival Club's ‘Children of the Revolution’ cart was named the Best Local Entry and won the Chairman's Choice (Local) gong.
Marina Sydenham Juvenile Carnival Club topped the juveline feature class on Monday after an equally successful night in Bridgwater.
Our photographer Steve Richardson captured the carts and crowds in all their glory. His pictures can be viewed in the gallery at the top of this article.
