ST John's Church in Wellington has two striking art sculptures on display as part of its Disability Awareness Month campaign.
One of the pieces, Trove, was made at the Imagine, Learn & Create courtyard studio near South Petherton by adults with learning disabilities.
Trove is a three-dimensional tree with “exotic creations made from papier mâché and other materials”.
Jess Hyslop, who owns and manages Imagine, Learn & Create, was the creative force behind the work with her team of volunteers.
The second piece, Reminiscence, was made by Reminiscence Learning, a charity founded in Wellington that specialises in dementia care.
It consists of colourful butterfly shapes spiralling upwards around a triangular obelisk inspired by Wellington Monument.
A church spokesperson said: “The displays in St. John’s Church are on view to the community until Sunday, December 4.
“The church is open to the public everyday of the week from 10am to 4pm.
“Visitors can contribute donations for the work of the two charities by using the contactless bank card machine near the door of the church.”
