TAUNTON Foodbank has celebrated a decade of supporting people in the town.
A buffet lunch to mark the tenth anniversary was held at the premises of Compass Wellbeing, on Belvedere Trading Estate last Wednesday (November 16).
Sue Weightman, Taunton Foodbank project manager said: "It was an acknowledgement of 10 years running the foodbank in Taunton.
"It is needed now more than ever before.
"The last three months - September, October and November - have been the busiest quarter in our history and I believe that's the same nationally.
"We're keen to celebrate the community aspect of donations to the foodbank - they have been phenomenal.
"At no time have we found ourselves empty or struggling to give people food.
"We've celebrated 10 years of the community coming together to support Taunton Foodbank."
