THE second annual Taunton 10k race took place today (Sunday, November 27) in chilly conditions in and around Taunton.
Taunton Fitness Club hosted the event for the second time and it all kicked off at 11am from Vivary Park.
Runners put on their best running kit as well as plenty of smiles for the free event and took on the course set out.
In addition, there was also an optional 6K route for joggers and fun runners.
Both races were free to enter and from all reports it was a great success for runners and the Fitness Club.
Taunton Fitness Club have said: "The course is arguably the most scenic race in Somerset, with beautiful views over Taunton Vale, a waterfall and countryside trails."
The fitness club is a community club with active groups of walkers, runners, cyclists and "couch to 5K" with groups led by experienced volunteer coaches.
Now, they have over 460 members that enjoy free membership, weekly activities and regular social events alongside their weekly runs.
