SPACE Adventurers, a family run multi-award winning indoor soft play centre located in Taunton, won double at the Bristol, Bath & Somerset tourism award 2022/23.

After much anticipation and excitement for the first in person Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards since 2019, the winners were announced at an awards ceremony at The Winter Gardens in Weston Super Mare.

Space Adventurers were awarded a Gold Award for Best New Tourism Attraction and a Silver Award for Small Visitor Attraction of the Year.

It is great news for Space Adventurers as it only opened its doors just 18 months ago in July 2021.

Tom Filer, director said: “We could not be more thrilled or delighted to have won both gold and silver in such incredible categories.

"We are so proud of the team and what they have achieved in a very short time since opening just 18 months ago. It was a true honour to receive these awards.”

The prestigious black tie tourism awards ceremony was hosted by broadcaster and presenter Laura Rawlings and former professional cricketer, PGA golf professional and Weston resident Peter Trego.

Every business took to the stage to be presented with their award to shouts of delight and appreciation.

Giles Adams, chair Visit Somerset said of the event: “Once again we have been able to celebrate, acknowledge and reward those who work hard to achieve the best, here in Somerset.

"The visitor economy is evolving and I congratulate these dynamic businesses that are demonstrating how to engage with it and formulate outstanding product offers and service levels that will perpetuate Somerset’s reputation as a brilliant destination."

Space Adventurers is part of the wider Family Adventures Group which also includes the multi-award-winning Ocean Adventurers play centre and Little Adventures Nursery Group.
