DOZENS of people dressed as Father Christmas brought festive cheer to Minehead as they ran or walked along the seafront to raise money for charity.
The Santa run was held at 10am on Sunday, December 11. It began next to the Clock Tower, with entrants charged £5 or £10 to take part.
Festive fundraisers were given the choice of completing a 2.5km or 5km course.
All proceeds will be split equally between a children's hospice and a guide dogs charity. The fun run was organised by the Rotary Club of Minehead.
John Baker of the rotary club said: “Over 50 runners and walkers took part in this years Minehead Santa Fun Run.
“Despite freezing conditions, the Santas turned out in force to support two local charities: Minehead Guide Dogs for the Blind and the Childrens Hospice South West.
“The event was organised by the Rotary Club of Minehead with the help of Minehead parkrun.
“All those that ran or walked the route along the seafront were warmed at the end by hot chocolate served by the Jubilee Cafe.
“A total of £500 was raised and will be split equally between the two charities.”
