PEOPLE are now able to 'Tap to Donate' at local St Margaret's Hospice stores across Somerset.
The hospice has installed three new Tap to Donate machines at its shops in Taunton, Wellington and Wells.
The machines use contactless technology to allow supporters to tap their contactless payment cards and donate £3 to St Margaret’s to help them continue to support patients across Somerset with a life-limiting illness and their families.
Michelle Hancock, head of fundraising at St Margaret’s, said: “We are thrilled to be using technology to bring more ways for our community to support the hospice. We wouldn’t be able to provide the care and support we give to thousands of people across Somerset every year without the support of our community.
“So, if you are out in Wellington, Wells or Taunton doing your Christmas shopping don’t forget you can give the hospice time to care this Christmas, just Tap to Donate!”
St Margaret’s supports around 5,000 people across Somerset each year and any donations will be gratefully received. Every £3 donation could pay for 7 minutes of support to a patient at home from one of St Margaret’s Adviceline nurses.
