MILVERTON Concert Society is set to welcome prestigious saxophonist and presenter Jess Gillam.
The performance will be on February 5, at 3pm at St Andrew's Church.
Milverton Society has been known for scouting excellent professional concerts for over 30 years.
Gillam is from Umberton, Cumbria and was born with musical talent. The musician has been a top performer at the Royal Albert Hall and Carnegie Hall with leading orchestras and chamber musicians.
She is the host of the BBC Young Musician competition and is also a presenter on Radio 3 called 'This Classical Life'.
Her music has won her prestigious awards such as the Classic BRIT Award, and she has been nominated for The Times Breakthrough Award alongwith an award in MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list 2021 for Services to Music.
Milverton Society has hosted world-famous artists such as Kanneh-Mason family, Voces8 a Capella group, wildly virtuosic Red Priest and James Bartlett.
Some of the performers that will be performing with Gillam are Poulenc, Ayanna Witter-Johnson, Barbara Thompson and Telemann.
