Oscar and BAFTA nominated film Banshees of Insherin will be showcased at Minehead Regal on Tuesday January 10 at 7.30pm. The film is a black comedy drama focusing on the deep friendship between two men.
Set on a remote island off the west coast of Ireland, the film stars Colin Farrel and Brendan Gleeson two lifelong friends, who find their friendship at a dead end.
A stunned Padraic, aided by his sister Siobhan and troubled young islander Dominic, endeavours to repair the relationship, refusing to take no for an answer.
The film has received unanimous critical acclaim and is already on track for several Academy Award nominations.Farrell won the Volpi Cup for Best Actor at the movie's debut at Venice International Festival.
Tickets for the film can be booked in advance online and at the Regal box office, (Tel 01643 706430) between 9.30am and 12.00pm or by telephone only from 1.30pm to 4pm, Monday to Saturday.
The Regal bar will be open for refreshments from 7pm.
