ORGANISERS of the 10 Parishes Festival taking place in and around Wiveliscombe in September are anticipating a high level of artist and performer registrations following the record-breaking event in 2021.

The visual and performing arts festival spans two weekends from September 9 to 17 and includes artists’ open studios, performances and the Wiveliscombe Street Market and Carnival procession on Sunday 10.

Festival director Pauline Homeshaw said: “We were delighted at the community support and involvement at our last festival where total revenue for participating artists exceeded £55,000, the highest level in the 20 years that the festival has been going.”

The 20-year anniversary has stimulated the thought for this year’s theme, which will be Reflections.

Artists have the option whether to include it in their work for the nine-day exhibition period.

Artists and performers can register their interest via www.10parishesfestival.org.uk.

The 10 parishes included in the festival are Ashbrittle, Bathealton, Brompton Ralph, Chipstable, Clatworthy, Fitzhead, Huish Champflower, Milverton, Stawley and Wiveliscombe.
