JUST as we're recovering from one onslaught of torrential downpours, the Met Office puts out another rain warning for parts of Somerset and Devon.
The yellow rain warning is in place for a large swathe of the two counties from 10pm today (Friday, January 13) and lasts until midday tomorrow (Saturday).
There is likely to be some flooding and disruption.
And the Met Office is predicting:
- Homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings;
- Delays or cancellations to train and bus services are possible;
- Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures;
- Some communities may be cut off by flooded roads;
- Possible power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses.
For today, the rest of the afternoon and early evening looks set to be rain-free before the first of the wet stuff starts to fall around 10pm.
The rain is forecast to ease off mid- to late-morning tomorrow and we can expect sunshine and showers on Sunday.
