BLOCK Taunton is the vision of South West businessman Ben Cheriton, of Cheriton Group Ltd.

He said: “Establishing a culture in a business is more important than ever, particularly since so many employees primarily work from home.

"Despite the flexibility of working from home, there are times when remote workers struggle to manage their work-life balance.

"We feel that co-working spaces are considerably more socially fulfilling than other third space locations, and BLOCK supports businesses that want to place wellbeing, connectivity and collaboration at the heart of their workspace offering.

“We have created a hub that businesses can be proud to call their own, in an environment that inspires creativity and productivity.

"We are providing stylish, vibrant workspaces with community and collaboration at its core.

"The offering allows people to work as they want to, instead of, or in addition to, home working.”

Among businesses making BLOCK Taunton their new home is digital marketing professional services Connectable South West Ltd.

Operations manager Hope Cridge said: "We immediately fell in love with the sleek, modern and professional vibe that BLOCK has created with the stunning décor, facilities and staff.

"The location of BLOCK Taunton is perfect for both our employees and our clients, just off J25, and is close to local amenities.

"Another big selling point for us was the abundance of free parking on site.”

Also at BLOCK Taunton is independent living support services Futu3s South West.

Company director Simon Richards said: "BLOCK Taunton location wise was perfect due to the location being seconds from the M5.

"We wanted a modern workplace. The flexible way of working and shared working areas was an added bonus with the boardroom also being another benefit.”

A Somerset Chamber of Commerce spokesperson said: "It’s always great to welcome new members to Somerset Chamber of Commerce and to see new initiatives which support the business community and help the local economy.”
