INSPIRATIONAL businesswomen take the spotlight for a special event celebrating local women.
Taunton Chamber of Commerce is organising a networking event at Queen's College, Taunton, on Wednesday, March 8, from 10.30am to 12.45pm. Entry is free via tickets.
It will feature contributions from Queen's students, presentations to Queen's IWD competition winners and relaxed networking over refreshments.
There will be talks from inspirational local women, including Amanda-Louise Knight from Amanda-Louise Knight Weddings Proposals and Events, who came second in the Small Business of the Year Category at the West Country Women's Awards and Laura O’Driscoll, from OD Talent Solutions.
This year’s International Women’s Day theme is embracing equity, so it is hoped to have many countries from all over the world represented at the event.
Amanda-Louise, who also owns Amanda-Louise Funeral Directors, said: “Im delighted to have been asked to be a speaker celebrating all the excellent women in the business community.”
