A FARM shop in Somerset is officially launching its pre-Mother’s Day afternoon tea to celebrate the important role that mums play in March 2023.
Anne Mitchell, Partner at the farm shop, located on the A38 between Taunton and Wellington, said: “We have officially launched our online booking for our pre-Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea, so anyone who wants to treat their mum this Mother’s Day can do so by booking in."
The Afternoon Tea will take place on Saturday, March 18 from 2.45pm and those who book can choose from a warm homemade scone with Rumwell strawberry jam and Westcountry clotted cream, a selection of finger sandwiches made with five different fillings and a selection of five homemade cakes.
There will also be gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options to choose from too. You’ll also receive a free small gift for your mum too.”
Rumwell Farm Shop, which won nine Taste of the West Gold Awards in 2022 for its shop and café and also for some of its made onsite products, has a traditional Butchery counter selling its home-reared and free-range pork and Rumwell Angus beef.
The food prepared in the Café kitchen is sourced from the Farm Shop, the Mitchell family farm, which is just four miles away, and other regional suppliers.
Families are welcome to the Café and there is a menu especially for children. It also serves afternoon teas, Sunday carvery and is licensed to sell alcoholic beverages.
The pre-Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea will take place on Saturday, March 18 from 2.45pm.
