IT'S all systems go at the Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton where with less than two weeks to go until the start of the new season final preparations are being made.
Out in the middle the heavy roller was being used to make sure the pitches for the opening three day game against Cardiff MCCU on Wednesday 22nd March is the best it can possibly be.
On the opposite side of the ground the replacement white seats that are being installed along the length of the Somerset Stand are nearing completion.
In the corner where the old Stragglers Pavilion used to stand the new scoreboard is in process of being put up.
The countdown is on for the start of the campaign in earnest which begins on Thursday 6th April with a home game against Warwickshire.
After struggling to retain their top flight status until the penultimate match last season, Somerset will be keen to get off to a winning start in 2023.
