A Somerset town has been named among the top 10 coolest places to live in the UK, according to a new survey.
Bruton featured in sixth place on this list from the health and well-being brand Naturecan.
Locations were ranked according to the number of independent shops per head of population, the range of cultural events, how ‘Instagrammable’ were the best features and their popularity as a location for films and TV shows.
Naturecan polled 5,000 people with panels in each county and you can use the map to look at the top 50 list.
What did Naturecan have to say about Bruton?
Naturecan was complimentary about Bruton, saying: "Bruton is known for its excellent food, contemporary art and beautiful surrounding countryside."
It was also noted that former Chancellor George Osbourne has a holiday home there.
If you were looking to take in the town's artistic side then a visit to the Hauser and Wirth gallery would be a good idea.
Adding to the town's reputation is the presence of three well-regarded boarding schools in Kings School, Sexey’s School, and Bruton School for Girls.
