AN animal hospital near Wellington has made a trio of senior appointments, which sees three familiar faces begin new roles.

Simon Bertram becomes head of neurology, while Adam Swallow takes on the role of head of medicine at Linnaeus-owned Cave Veterinary Specialists.

Meanwhile, Bryony Gilder has been appointed head of nursing services, replacing Helen Bye, who has been promoted to a central nursing role within Linnaeus as referral nursing director.

Claire Lawrence, hospital director at Cave, said: “Simon, Adam and Bryony have all shared passionately their desire to support their teams and to develop each service, which will also help support our Cave growth plans across 2023.

“Our congratulations also go to Helen who has been a central part of the team at Cave and who can now use her knowledge and experience within the central Linnaeus team.”

Simon has a particular interest in spinal neurosurgery.

Adam is a specialist in internal medicine and in small animal medicine. His main interests are gastroenterology, nephrology evidence-based veterinary medicine.

Bryony joined Cave 2012 and became part of the senior nursing team in 2017, where she gained experience and leadership skills. She also co-founded and co-runs Cave’s monthly Nurse CPD Club.
